Losing weight: what you can and cannot do?

If you want to start losing weight, it is useful to know what you can and cannot eat and drink. All you have to do is add some foods and omit some foods from your diet. If you do this, you are guaranteed to see results!

The good foods

Make sure you eat certain foods and leave out others in your weekly diet. If you are already eating some of the nutrients that are good for you, simply add the rest. You may be allergic to one of the foods, so make sure you choose something that is similar to the product.

Add the following foods:

Proteins

Fish contains a lot of protein. Eat fish as a main meal at least twice a week. Preferably more often. Fried fish, such as kibbeling or squid rings, absolutely do not count.

Raw vegetables

Try to eat raw vegetables every day. It contains minerals, enzymes, vitamins and rich plant nutrients. You could also squeeze raw vegetables into juice, which is certainly very nutritious.

Fibres

Most good sources of fiber are found in vegetables, beans and fruits. Make sure you do this gradually, because too much in the beginning can cause gas formation, which is harmless.

Nuts

A small portion of nuts per day ensures that you get healthy fats and proteins in your body. Don’t eat too much, this can be counterproductive. Consider, for example, pistachios, almonds, pecan nuts, macadamias and cashew nuts. Use a portion of nuts to incorporate them into a salad, then you will be doing yourself good with nuts and raw vegetables.

Berries

Berries are full of antioxidants, which in turn ensure that you are better protected against cardiovascular disease and cancer. Also very healthy for the body. Too many benefits to mention, so just take it every day.

The wrong foods

It is important to know what to eat, but even more important what not to eat. If you have already stopped eating some of the foods below, make sure you leave out the rest as well. If you have already reduced a certain substance, make sure that you omit it completely from your diet.

A good bakery or health food store can supply the correct types of bread mentioned above. It is important to eat no more than one or two slices per day.

Pasta

Pasta contains a lot of carbohydrates and therefore burns quickly in your body, especially if you exercise less. Fit is not unhealthy, but you do have to exercise a lot to burn these carbohydrates properly. If you really want to eat pasta, eat whole wheat pasta so that you feel full sooner and therefore eat less.
